What if the humanity was freed from fear?

Long ago, an ancient race from the lost island of Lemuria evolved beyond fear, unlocking superhuman abilities and escaping Earth’s descent into madness. Now, the last of the homo liberatus dream of reclaiming their homeworld from a hidden menace: energy vampires — psychopaths who thrive on suffering and rule from the shadows.

In 1985, Yan, born of a fearless father and a human mother, returns to Earth on a mission that is both deeply personal and universally vital. His quest begins in the haunted ruins of the Belarusian Khatyn. Yan must confront the vampire who murdered his mother along with the whole Khatyn’s population in 1943. But the truth has been buried under decades of mind control, KGB secrets, and manipulated memories.

As Yan navigates Soviet archives, befriends a conflicted intelligence officer, and heals a dying hypnotist, he uncovers a far-reaching conspiracy stretching back to the Nazi occupation. His pursuit leads him to a war criminal in disguise and a fateful love with a gifted teenage girl destined to bear the next generation of homo liberatus.

In this sweeping epic of memory, justice, and evolution, Homo Liberatus explores what it means to be truly human… and whether redemption is possible for those who feed on the light of others.

The novel contains numerous quotes from documented interrogations of former Nazi collaborators served in Schutzmannschaft Battalion 118 (Ukrainian Schuma) in 1942 - 1945 during trials conducted in 1945 - 1986. The quotes have been translated into English by the author.
